Because a non-turbo V6 can take regular octane gas. Provided the weight doesn't go up much more, a V6 powered PT will have much more oomph than a n/a 4 cylinder w/o much of a dent in mileage. That to me makes it very attractive.

The front end instantly reminded me of the Scion xB. Looking good, not.

Hi Im new! think about this...The PT was Chrysler's last project before it became DCX...I think the new execs are to blame if the PT loses the retro...I think that they are trying to rid Chrysker of all things remotely plymouth looking...which is a shame because I love the PT!

My turbo lite takes regular gas!

I saw the Nitro at the car show...it is Big Bertha Butt Ugly! Looks like a box on steroids.

I was at the dealer today, killing time while my PT was being fixed... and noticed that every single one of their cars looks alike--just bigger or smaller versions of the same idea. All have that square boxy look with narrow windows and big wheels. Basically, they all look like a version of the 300, other than the Wrangler. The lines are exactly the same.

The PT was not on the lot, anywhere. Nor in the showroom. I think that says everything about Chryler's interest in this car.

I am not a car designer--I was however, a graphic designer in the corporate world--and let me tell you, no one is more clueless about design than executives. They make decisions on design based on (all of these are true) stupidity like "my wife likes that color"... "this matches my bathroom"... "my dog barked at that design, so its terrible"...

And you wonder why the cool designs never get made.

Also why I left the career after 16 years

I'm with the majority, keep the new PT absolutely retro, small and economical.

I am curious, when I voted there was one vote each for modern styling and a third row seat ??? To that person, are you sure you're in the right place ???

Depends on the dealer; last time I was at mine he had loaded up on '06s. Little Devil goes in tonite for regular maintenance and a pre-winter once over, so I'll be able to report what's on the lot now.

The new Sebring's growing on me, especially with the tan interior, hope to see one in person tonite if they have 'em.

Regarding DC's opinion of their own past product, they've slammed the Neon at the Caliber's introduction, launched a Duster off a cliff in a Ram commercial, backed into an Intrepid in another, and in a new Nitro commerical they blow up a Spirit.

Funny how other makers blow up cars they didn't make but Chrysler...eats their own.

Why would anyone want to buy a car because it matches the bathroom color?? That is very usual! With that comment, I am sure they were not looking at a PT Cruiser.

It's okay with me if they change the styling. I don't care for the new frontend and it just makes my 04 more valuable to me. Someday the few remaining early models will be sought after by collectors and I'll probably still have mine.
