The response to the call for blood donations has been so overwhelming that the usual channels cannot handle the load. If you can, try to organize a blood drive through your church, synagogue or other organizations you belong to.
We are organizing a blood drive at our synagogue this Sunday. Even though we have an annual blood drive in October, we are expecting a good turn out for this one. Check with local hospitals for information on who to contact to set up a blood drive. |

I've signed up to give as part of our state employee blood drive. One good thing about being a mutiple gallon donor, all that practice has made me a quick bleeder - I'm usually in and out of there in no time!

I myself am a blood donor since I was in University...my personal reason...in memory of my grandfather and since last year in memory of my mother....20+ donations....
I can honestly tell you that I hate needles like no one can imagine...but at the time of giving blood I'm there.... It only takes a little of your time and 1pint of blood can be used to save at least 4 persons or used for more research for many diseases..... So let's do it..... Tarsi. |
