Default Arggh! Back to the shop

The CD player/electrical gremlin is back, and worse than ever. Let's see, took a week.... Before it was "fixed" (blamed on a loose wire) the CD player would OCCASIONALLY lose its memory, and the auto-door locks would recycle. Today, both to and from work, it was happening randomly -- pulling out from a stop, downshifting to turn a corner, upshifting on a speed up -- only consistency is that there is a change in gear involved. So, next week (can't do it this week -- I do the bookkeeping, and have to get end-of-month invoices out to clients) its another day without Pretty Boy Floyd Franki

They did put in a CD player; it's some electrical glitch from the auto doorlocking system which runs through the stereo. When they initially went in they found a loose wire; I suspect they just didn't fix it right, or perhaps some moisture is getting in there from where they took it apart to fix it -- Franki

Keep good records. Most states have a Lemon Law and I know several folks that got new cars after a short hearing. Usually 3 failed attempts to fix the same thing qualifies you for a cash refund or a new car, your choise.

At least there's no wait for a replacement and you may get cheaper financing or a rebate

sounds about as bad as my PT needing to be at the local dealership here in lafayette for a week to replace the battery. They said the PTs batteries are special. It was going to be longer but miraculusly "one just came in" when my dad called to tell them that another dealer had 4 and a warehouse in Milwaukee had 25. I cant stand lazyness.

That was the first and last time I take my car there for service. Yes it is a 5-star.
