Angry Dream Cruiser in Manassas, VA - - You Just Won't Believe This When You Read It!

This Dream Cruiser is located at Manassas Chrysler in Manassas, Virginia.

Click below, or copy and paste the address:
(You might have to scroll up the page).....

http://www.manassaschrysler.com/Chry...tml#interested

Scroll down past the rather great photo - - and you can actually view the MSRP Window Sticker....

....but is it really the actual MSRP Window Sticker?

....included in the MSRP is AN UNBELIEVABLE.......

.......ADDITIONAL DEALER MARK-UP OF $ 1,995.00 !!!

Is DaimlerChrysler doing this just to limit the amount of "gouging" the previously-greedy dealers had done in the past?

It doesn't appear that the label is altered, because if so, it is illegal to tamper or alter any MSRP Window Sticker.

WHAT'S UP WITH THIS ONE ?????????????????????????

Additionally, there is a VIN Number at the bottom left of the
Sticker - - but you can't tell what sequence number it is. The
Optional Equipment indicates "Dash Plaque - Serialized"....

..And just get a load of all the "fine print" below the VIN Number!

Scroll to the very end - - and you can actually fill out a dealer form which claims they will respond with their "No-Haggle Price"! I filled it out - - wonder if I'll get a reply - - probably not after what I told them!

OK EVERYONE THAT WENT THROUGH THE ONE AND ONE HALF YEARS OF HELL AND GOUGING - - PLEASE POST YOUR BEST COMMENTS FOR ALL TO READ!!!!

The real Monroney label does not look like that. I think they scanned it and added the market adjustment and the dealership watermark with Photoshop or something. I still have mine with the "Built for t_j" and a more reasonable price at the bottom.

With the price differential, I could paint mine any color of the rainbow and run some custom rims that would make it one of a kind rather than one of thousands. The rims remind me of Bugdude's cruiser and he's got ground effects and a bunch of other goodies. There is not another like it in the universe.

Remember when Miatas came in three colors? These days, are you significantly impressed when you see a dark green M edition with matching top? Oooh, it's so rare, I must pay thousands extra for it. Not in this lifetime!

Another day in Paradise...

Thumbs down

All the other Monroney MSRP Window Stickers, for all the other PT Cruisers in their inventory, look exactly the same....except the others do not have the "mark-up" on them.

We'll just have to wait until we can actually view other Dream Cruiser MSRP Stickers to see if they are the same.

It is illegal to alter or change the Monroney label, so I would think it applies to the web image as well - - -after all, it should represent the actual Monroney label of the vehicle.

I wonder what the "No-Haggle Price" is ???

I lived in that town 28 years ago before John Bobbit made it famous. Let 'em keep that TACO Burner a while!

Read the fine print:

"This window sticker may or may not match the actual window sticker on the vehicle itself. We reserve the right to make changes without notice and are not responsible for typographical errors. Dealers are independent and free to set their own prices. "

That is something that the dealer did; our Dream Cruiser's MSRP sticker is free of ADM. Including the spoiler and the window tinting (front doors), we got out at roughly MSRP - $900.

They are all over the net at MSRP +/- $500

Someone reported that a So. Cal. dealer had one with a $10k ADM, and another report had one at $29,070 (MSRP + $5k)
