Default Do You know This QUESTIONS????????

What's up guys....

I need your help! I am getting my mirror tints installed tonight!
I went to the race shop and spoke to the installers in person and
asked them if they did jobs "on the side" and guess what?

Instead of the $200.00 the store was charging me, the installers want $115.00

Soo, they are coming to my house to do the install and I need to know...
what percentage are the back windows?
They said there's going to be a little difference being that they are already tinted so they need to know what's the percentage on them so they can match them as much as they can!

anyone? please give your imput on this too!

Pretty sure that it's 35% (at least here in Canada which is the legal limit of tint)

The back windows are 20% tint, more or less.

Someone once posted that had a reflectomer and measured- it came out to 23% I think..

The fronts are 100% tint free. So, adding something to the rear, like 20%, onto 20% will result in something darker than adding 20% to nothing.

LEGAL front tint limit is 35% in Canada Usually a fix-it ticket.

By coming to the house and doing it "on the side", is the job still guaranteed? Will any warranty still be in effect? When doing my daughters firebird, we found we could find plenty of guys to do the job, but no one would offer any warranty work.

The guy who did mine said the back windows are 25% tint. However at least down here in FL 35% is the legal limit. I can't believe they are charging you so much. They did mine for $45 bucks

I agree. The extra money helps them cover any warranty problems later. Also allows them the luxury of starting over if they screw something up the first time. Just something to consider. i.e. - Do you feel lucky? well, do ya......?

No need for luck! :

If they F*#ck up.... Guess who's not getting paid?
And I bet their boss won't be too happy about his business being cut short due to side jobs...

But what about any problems afterwards? Daughters back window developed a small bubble months later..they fixed it right off.
