Chino: Good luck...don't live too far from J.C., and I know plenty of guys who have been pulled over for having tint on their windows. Not only will you get a ticket, but the cops can and will make you pull the tint off of the window on the spot. (Assuming of course you are getting your front passenger windows done) Doesn't pay to get the front windows done, especially if you are going to be ripping up hundreds of bucks worth of work because a cop is looking to flex his muscle. Also, if any tint of any percentage is on the front windows, you will automatically fail insepction, unless you go to a garage willing to "overlook" the tint...and that is a good clip of money anyhow for a private inspection with the new emssion standards in NJ.

Talking Window Tint

Correct. Factory tint is approx. 20%. Good luck with it. I've never had any problems, but I have heard the "ugly" stories about the "long arm of the law."

nj666, ojsdna744, and Wendy - don't worry about Chino - he doesn't even have a front license plate and NJ requires one! I don't know his secret - I worry because of my dice hanging from rearview mirror - that's forbidden, too!!

Artist,

From experience, I can tell you that you may not want to watch them do the work. It's not unlike making sausage. I got another car done for $100.00 at a shop. They removed the door panels and were all over the interior of tourin_wife's Honda. It all went back together and looked good for a long time but seriously, have them call you when it's over.

Life's a cruise...

Just came back from the install....

"NO CAN DO" with the two-tone mirror tints!

The factory tints are too dartk and too much of a difference will be seen.

Sooo, tonight....
We tinted the fronts with 20% to match the factory tints in the rear and in three or four days, once these are nice and dry, we will install the two-tone mirror tints over the plain 20% black and the factory tints in rear so they look even.

I wanted to take a pic of the tints all solid black, but will have to wait till daytime.

Believe it or not, not only did I get to see everything, but they were also teaching me how to do them!

They did my friends car completely (fronts, rear, back window, and even his whole windshiled!
MIne only the two fronts (for now) for $35.00 and the rest in about 4 days!
