Angry BUMPING....what do you think of it!

I just received an email from someone....I think on the PTCC side, but not sure!

Here it is.....

From: xxxxxxx.com
Date:2002/02/14 Thu PM 11:45:55 EST
To:oes13@bellsouth.net
Subject:not to cool

hello
I really don't know you well, but posting a bump on the board is really not to cool.it takes up space that valued posters use.. just a thought..
xxxxx

So, what do you guy and gals think? I usually do this if an event is not getting enough responses in my opinion or if my question is not being answered! I didn't think I was NOT VALUED. and when dealing with space....there is a whole bunch of it out here in the cyber world...so up yours katee!

It takes up space that the posters use?!?! Oh, yeah, like there is only a limited amount of space and you're using it all up. Duh.

Sometimes a post may not generate many responces the first time out then I think it's ok to bump it up for a second chance.

Then if you want to you can now delete the bump or the whole post if no one responds.

Funny- I too have been receiving emails from places UNKNOWN telling me that so-and-so is a goof, and that some people at "the club" are stuck-up eletists...

Hope this isn't the start of anything nasty!

Whether you post, "Bump" or concoct a follow-up message contrived to have the same effect, the need to keep some messages more visible remains. To me, "Bump" is easier, and takes up less space than a contrived message such as this, complete with obligatory smilies.

I have made a scientific study of this "humping" thing and I present the fruits of my research below:

Scientifically speaking, there is nothing intrinsically damaging in "humping." I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.
