Default CrossOver Utility Vehicles Coming to Car Show Next Week!

ON a TV preview of a car show today, opening next week, they talked about the new concept, CUV. Or Cross Over Utiltiy vehicles.
------------------------------------
The first vehcile up, was a Blue PT Cruiser. The second car up, was a two toned silver and taupe looking Pontiac Aztec. In that color combo, the AZTEC LOOKED GREAT!!!!! It had nice looking wheels, one of its former weak points, and the angulation in the rear didnt look so radical. I am not sure if I am just getting used to it, or htey redesigned it to look a little smoother, and less angled.
------------------------------------
The third CUV was the Ford Explorer. Four doors, with a pickup bed in the back, with a locking tarpe cover over the pickup bed.
------------------------------------
Then they showed the Audi Wagon, that can lower or raise its height, depending on where you're driving. The next shown was a Envoy (nto sure who makes it). Then, the Toyota Sequoia (? name), a sort of CUV. Comes with a V8! Fancy interior. Third row of seats come out.
------------------------------------
No comments on the GT or the 2002 model PT, yet. Next up, was concept cars. One was the Ford Forty_Nine. The Friday night at the drivein vehicles of the late 1940's. Then the Thunderbird Sprots roadster. It will be a production car this year. The Roadster will have a few diffferent tweaks. Then the Ford Lightening Rod. A custom Pickup. And Buicks Bengal Concept!!! Georgeous Roadster with a convertible top! Sharp! Very Sharp!. It is a two seater. Then the GMC Terracross Concept. Sort of a smooth hummer look. Then the Chvy SSR!!!! Nice! Sharp! IN production in one year!!! Yeah!!! Then the Popntiac Rav, which looks super! And then Dodge Powerbox, And then Chrylser 300 Hemi. That Hemi looks great! A big convertible in silver.

Last year at this Car Show, they gave away a free PT Cruiser. This year, they are giving away a free Pontiac Aztec.
Next year, witht he SSR in production, maybe they will give away a Chevy SSR sportster pickup!

Isn't this the Ford Sport Trac??

I was at the Toronto Auto Show last nite- SUVs and CUVs all over the place. That GM Avalanche is a beast (similar to the Ford Sport Trac, 4 door, small bed)! Should see the new Hummer!

Hi, Tall,
I just wanted to thank you for your posts. I really love reading your news updates about the Cruiser and other cars.

Jeep had a concept car at the LA Auto Show that I think was called the Envoy. I could be wrong. I took some pictures of it. I'll post them later. I really loved the car.

Also, the Ford 49 was maybe the most beautiful car I've ever seen.

Again, thanks for all your great information.

Hi, Tall,
As promised. Here are the pics I took of that Jeep Concept car. The one I think is the Envoy. But I could be wrong. I forget the name. But when I read it in your post, it joggled something in my memory. Either way, I think it's a cool car.

Thanks.

Nice Photo's. Looks like a vehicle for the Moon. Would liek to take a test drive in that one.

I saved one of the pics, as my wallpaper to view for a while.

Thanks again.

I can't believe how stupid I am . It's called the Varsity. It's right there on the middle picture. I thought it might have been the Envoy, but I was wrong.
