Default Couldn't Resist !!

I had today off and had to go to Concord - about an hour away !! I looked at my Cruiser sitting in the gararge since December 3rd ( cept for one short jaunt to the Kustom Shop) and it was like it was begging me to take it out !!!
Well -- It was freezing so no melting and my dirt road was frozen not muddy -- SO !!!!!!!!!!
Out she came !! It was great !! Didn't realize how much I missed her ! Had to be careful around the frost heaves with the new front end - but no problems.
Now shes back in her space - maybe waiting for the next nice day !!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh - Love that car !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the weather one of the reasons you got to 1200 posts in roughly the same time it took me to get to 28?

Took the PT on an errand at lunch today...with the sun roof open...had to wear a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes. Saw a puddle but I didn't actually drive through it. Guess we've got it pretty good.

I imagine it is similar to seeing a chocolate brownie on the kitchen counter that you know you should not eat, but the tempation is usally too great!! At least for me it is.

I found out the expected shipping day for mine is February 28! Hope the weather is good by the time it gets here.

Speaking of ground clearance, (well, sort of. You did mention the front end of your cruiser) I am not going to touch the front end, but I love the side skirts Xenon has for the PT Cruiser. If you happen to know the minimum ground clearance on the side, I would appreciate it. I do not want speed bumbs to jump up and cause me grief after I install them.

Thanks.

I know how you feel, Pars. Great huh? I've had my cruiser in the garage for the last 5 weeks and just got it out Monday for the first time. I was planning on driving it all winter, but my wife had an operation and was off work for the 5 weeks, so I drove her car instead to give the PT a break in the winter.

I missed driving the PT more than I thought. Even just the smell -- it still smells new. So spunky too! The PT really begs to be driven fast! Also the clutch and shift have such a great feel!!! Such a world of difference after driving my wife's Hyundai.

Pars -- It must be contagious! After another miserably cold, overcast day yesterday, we were supposed to have a good one today: temps in upper 40s!
So I got out the KanCruiser and boogied the 55 miles in to the home office to show it off for the first time; escaped with no door dings or scratches and got out of Doo-Dah (Wichita) before rush hour.
Car is back safe in garage now; it will have to sit this weekend, as we will be out of town again. But I can see the trees budding, so spring and some serious cruizin can't be that far away.

Thanks.
The ground clearance at the front wheel is 5 1/2 inches --
the ground clearancd at the rear wheel is 7 inches.
Hope that helps !! I do NOT have lowering springs. Those measurements would relate to stock suspension.
