Default Bit the bullet and signed up over here. Can I stay and play a while???

A lot of you probably know me already from PTCC. For those of you who don't, you're luck has changed for the worse, cos I'm here!!!

I'm Wendy - owner of a silver limited 5 speed, early model - been driving her for 8 months now and just about to hit 12500 miles. I have a fairly warped sense of humour and if I offend anyone, OOPS!

Seriously tho, I don't bite (only because I'm too far away) and I'll probably never meet any of you face to face (only because I'm too far away), but I am hoping to feel welcome here (even thought I'm so far away)!!!

Hi Wendy,

I pop over to PTCC ocassionally and have always enjoyed reading your posts with the Australian perspective. Hey, we enjoy a warped / unusual sense of humor, we have a few of our own ([1]watch out for PT Hoosier [/1] ), we have our fun too.

Welcome Aboard!

Wendy, I'm telling the PTCC people on you. >>)
I come here often myself. The people here are very nice and the price is right.

G'day, Wendy -- And welcome! 'Stralians are always welcome here. I have read quite a few of your posts on PTCC site; spent a lot of time over there when this site was down.
So I assume your Cruiser is right-hand drive, correct? Is dashboard basically a mirror image of what we have over here?
And what's the price of a litre of petrol down there? We measure ours in U.S. gallons, and the big oil companies have backed off a bit here, prior to our July 4 holiday -- bought gas at $1.49 a gallon yesterday, which seemed like a real bargain, until you remember we were buying it for under a buck a gallon a couple of years ago.
Anyhow, have fun with the folks here; and do watch out for that Hoosier guy -- he can be pretty ornery.

Wendy,

See what you've started? After weeks of being ignored on that OTHER forum, I got in on that member vs. non-member thing. After being called a non-committed freeloader, I deleted most of my posts, and came over here. I had pointed out that 6000 members paying 39 dollars a year equals $234,000 and that seems like more than enough to run a web site. Apparently, if you pay up, you can get put down by a higher class of posters...

In fairness, there are some marvelous folks over there. Marc, in particular. But, some of them really need to enroll in "get over yourself 101."

It's always good to have another perspective. The more warped, the better!
