Default ANY MOTORCYCLIST AMONG US?

Not to get away from the subject, but I am curious to know if any of you have motorcycles or plan on doing so? I love the cruiser, don't get me wrong, but we all seem to like the same stuff (sort of). I'm bike shopping now and I have the "fever" worse than I did with the PT I'm afraid. Call me mental... This is just a poll, not a question of PT loyalty!

After many weeks of searching, I found the new Yamaha Venture. I knew I wanted another cruising bike and I'm spoiled on things like 6-disc CD changer, cruise control, intercoms, CB, etc...
My 'Wing had gotten tired and old.
It's not for the meek. 100hp V-max engine cammed for torque. YeeHaa!!
Sticker is $16K, about the same foe a base Cruiser.

I's love to be bike shopping, but with a new PT and a new Voyager in the driveway, I'll be staying with my 89 Yamaha FJ1200 (fantastic bike, BTW. I'd never replace it, I'd just add smaller and more nimble.)

I spend some of my summer Saturdays (and Sundays, and weekdays) touring the winding back roads of NH and MA with friends who also ride sport tourers. It's gonna be a tough call this summer, though. That shiny Inferno Red PT will be calling me to cruise to the beach!

Started riding in `66. Started roadracing in `70. TLAT Anna and I tour on our BMW R1100RSA.
Take a look at Panthercity

We ride a 1997 Valkyrie when we're not in the PT! Or the restored 1964 Pontiac Tempest. Check them out at:

Cruiser Dave,
Actually, I'm known as "Cruisin' Dave" on the Valkyrie boards. :-)

Hi Dave!

I wish I still had the bike but being here in the city made it hard to keep and too dangerous to enjoy (crazy Memphis drivers). I've always been around motorcycles since Dad started riding when he was just a kid and has always had them. In fact, for my sweet sixteenth birthday, my Dad gave me a bike! (I guess that kind of thing is a habit with him!) Usually once a year he rides his cool 70's Hog (Elvis had one just like it, it's in the car museum at Graceland) the 500+ miles to visit me. Right now he's restoring some Harley's from the 40's, including a trike! At least I get to enjoy them when I visit the folks, but I guess I won't be getting another one myself. The Cruiser is REALLY filling that void in a big way!

YES!!
The PT was a 8 month, 3 week wait. My 98 HD superglide was 2 year, 9 month wait.
Like the PT the HD was worth the wait. It's going to be a lot harder this summer to decide which form of cruising we'll take.
