Default Answer: BOWM! Pssssssssss!

The Question?

What sounds were heard while driving to Dinner and back Friday night. Clyde had a bad evening. First a bird took off from the center median on the highway and "bumped" into Clyde just above the left headlight. There's the BOWM! No scratches, no dents, and since Wendy's doesn't serve Squab, I had Chicken!

Then on the way home from some after-dinner browsing, we hear Psssssssss! The right rear tire took a bolt (or something) and ended up with a 1/4 by 1/2 inch hole between the tread blocks! The result was a tire with less than 8,000 miles on it being replaced. Do what I didn't, talk to Goodyear and purchase Road Hazard on your new Goodyear tires! They don't come from Chrysler with any Road Hazard warranty. I ignored this advice before but now I've got it on all of them!

Clyde spent the rest of the weekend in the driveway since bad things happen in threes.

I always buy a road hazard warranty with my tires. I had my house remodeled three years ago, construction crews and trucks and equipment all over the place for a year and a half. I was without a garage that whole time and I knew I was going to pick up a nail or something.

I never needed to use the warranty on either of my cars. But that's why I have the insurance. Without it, I'm sunk. If I have it, I never need to use it. I carry pre-paid legal for the same reason. I haven't had to use that either. I'd say that considering the trouble I have avoided, I am getting my money's worth.
