Help with Grill and Neons Please

Ok, I have spent the past half day searching the forums and archieves regarding putting neons in behind the grill. At one time PTCruzr had all the details required to do the job, but can't find his thread, any help?

Next issue, get the impression that the best sizing is the 9 or 10 inch. Can find lots of 9 inch on the net but not much help regarding as to wether they are for use outdoors or waterproof. If they are not waterproof where in the name of *** do you attempt to seal them and with what?

If anyone knows of a waterproof make or brand that will do the job would you kindly let me know. Or would the next best thing be to go with light rope?
