Default PT Headrests

Anyone know if Chrysler ever made an adjustable headrest for the PT?
Not up or down but one that tips forward or backward. My wife complains that the headrest tilts too far forward for her and is uncomfortable. Don't recall if they made one that was adjustable that way early in production.

Yeah! They're whiplash restraints, not head rests. (Make sure they are not adjusted too low or too high for the passengers safety.)

Since I'm tall and rarely have more than one passenger I removed them from the rear seats the first week I had my PT. Huge improvement in rear visibility. Sometime after 2001 model year DC made the rears smaller to improve rear viz.

Yes, there were headrests which tilted in the early 2001 models but were discontinued in 2002 and maybe in the later 2001 models. My LTD was born in Nov 2000, delivered Dec 2000, and on the road since Jan 2001 and it has the tilting headrests. All good ideas go the way of lower cost of production.

Here is an idea for your wife's aching neck-courtesy of Len and Tudy (Motown Cruisers). Take your headrests all the way off of the front seats and then turn them around and put them back in the holes. This will create a flat surface (from the backs of the headrests facing forward) instead of the rounded curve of the front of the headrest. This is especially a good tip if your passenger wants to sleep in the cruiser while you are driving. Cruise safe!!!

Re: Lisa's post... Just don't lay down in the seat while the car is moving. I don't remember which board member it was, but one of us has already had serious injury simply from laying back in the seat while on the highway. I remember that the car hydroplaned, spun around and slammed into a tree. I wish I could remember her nickname???

Thanks for all of the replys. I have been out of town for a few days so this is the first change I have had to look at your posts. I'll turn the "whiplash restraint" around and have her try that. If that doesn't work maybe I can find one from an 01 at a salvage yard.
Thanks again
