Question HELP... Radio install.. HELP....

I was installing the new head unit I purchased and had a questions for you guys...

Install went well, not complicated at all and it's sounding excellent.

BUT, there was one wire that I couldn't figure out what the heck to do with it...

I used the universal harness for Chrysler and matched all the wiring to the new head unit and had ONE cable left that has a connector...
(on the picture... it goes in the small white plug located 1st from the right)

I tried to look for it on the Service Manual that I have, but couldn't find anything on it.

For now I just didn't plug that wire, but what's it for?

I know there's the two main plugs and the antenna... what's that other plug for?

Thats the PCI communication bus. It's the body control computer lead. There are many diagnostic codes and tests for the OEM radio that are controlled by the BCM.

An aftermarket radio will not have those capabilities.

That's interesting. I didn't know DC programmed its receivers to throw diagnostic codes.

You bet yer bippy. They've even made plans for the new Chrysler Dwelling. It's a home where everything is controlled by the body computer. Door bell doesn't work? Check the computer. Refrigerator too cold? Check the computer. Toilet won't stop running? You guessed it...check the computer. hehehe
