The INTERCOOLED is the GT engine. I think that the non-intercooled is the Turbo LITE.

Is that on the website or on D/Cs ordering system? He said the ordering system (at the dealership) said the order cannot be placed. I am dying to see his plum LO vert!!! Eight weeks seems like a LONG time!!! I guess that only applies if you are waiting for a PT!!!

He did say that his wife might let him bring it to work to show it off-it is her vert. He has an 01 aqua and a little red pop-top (MR2???) for a beater.

These options are no different than the ones offered for the hardtop PT.
I got the Turbo Lite in my Touring Edition (of Course Automatic- Automatically) and it took 14 weeks to get here.

ALL of the turbo PT engines are intercooled, both the HO and the Turbo LITE. The only difference between the two engines is the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) which is tuned for Regular gas on the LITE (180 HP) and tuned for Premium on the HO (220 HP). The Stage 1 kit (PCM only for the 2004 models) will upgrade either of these engines to 235 HP and, of course, require Premium gas.

We also heard at the dealership that you could place an order for the NA engine, but you'll be waiting longer because the first ones to be built are the turbos, both Touring edition LO turbos and the GT's.

Also, currently, the only way to get the base model convertible is with a 5 speed, although the salesman we talked to said they should start offering automatics, but probably not until mid-year.

As usual, mis-information prevails!
