Mine is an 01 made in April 2001 and has 43k miles on it.. By the looks of my finances, I will not be able to afford a new one any time soon.

Will I keep her? Will do my best to do so.

While on the same subject..What is the built date of your Cruiser/ Who's got the EARLIEST one here?
I know Rachael's was built in March of 2000 (pretty sure).
Mine was built in May of 2000
Mine has a DOB of July 30th 2000 delivered Aug 24 2000...

Well,My 01 is an early addition....and after four years of ownership.....she only has 22,883 miles on her.It was payed for by cashiers check at delivery. We ain't getting rid of her.Her sis....the 02 Dreamer is at $5400.00 left till payoff and only has 3037 miles...keeping it too.But thier big sis...our old 91 Caravan is looking very sad.She has served well, but had a rough life....one tranny in 95 and then 2 weeks later, over $5000.00 in damages in an accident. It was repaired...but never the same. Her time is here. She has suffered many small failures in the last 7 weeks, muffler, water pump, thermostat, one shock. We are starting to look at late 90's or 00-01 Town & Country's.I'd sure love a new Durango or Pacifica BUT we just don't have that much money. But with our tax returns, company year end bonus, and cashing out somestocks,we can afford to pay off our credit cards(YIPPEEE!!!!!)buy outright a good used Chrysler Minivan(most are about $9000.00 locally) and POSSIBLY cut a couple thousand off the 02 Dreamer's remaining amount.

Definitely a keeper. With all of my personalized mods, this car is still loads of fun....that and I have 126,000 miles on it and still owe a little on her loan.

I just can't see starting over. I know this car, her quirks and blessings, and I will admit to taking exquisite care of her. My wife calls the PT my toy, and rightly so!

Of course, I do plan to win a new PT at Cruisermania next weekend in Tempe. Since I have, by far, the highest mileage, it only seems right! Even if I do win it, it will go to my wife to replace her '98 Camry (extremely boring, but remarkably solid and dependable).

Blessings to all and keep Cruising!

Cool Re: How Many Of Still Have 01's And Plan To Keep It

Snoopy stays. He is 3 this month and the warranty will be up. He has only 11,000 miles since my other car, a 86 Chrysler Laser, is the everyday car (95,000 miles). Can't wait to get rid of car payments.

Nothing caught my eye from 86 to 01 until the PT came out. If the Laser dies, Snoopy will become any everyday driver (but then maybe I'll hit the lottery so I can get another PT to drive everyday).

TWO here. No plans to replace. Seen all the new one's and they look just like mine....different paint/interior colors maybe, but just like mine.

Guess it's a 'bonding thing'.

Still have ours and no plans to dump it. Bought it in March 2000 so it will soon be a full four years old. We still treat it like a baby and don't let it outside in bad weather. I keep saying we must just start driving it like a normal vehicle and use it all the time, but just can't bring ourselves to do this. Don't hang around here as much as I used to, but still drop in from time to time to see how all are doing. Local dealer has a new convertible and I can't decide what to think about it. It is neat, but doesn't seem to keep the retro look intact somehow. Guess we'll just hang on to the old original. Maybe in another 20 years or so, it'll be a collector, but I'll probably be senile by then so it won't be a big deal anyway. We still love it though. It still feels like a new car when we get it out and go cruizin.

I still have my 01 auto. Looks like it will be awhile before I get rid of it. If for some reason I could make up the difference in a leftover 03GT, I would. I would LOVE to have more power. It's just the $10K I can't swing on a trade...

I'm still having fun though. I have mopar ground effects & ebach springs that need to be installed when the weather warms up. Also the tunes will finally get finished.
