Default Battery covered by Warranty?

I accidentally posted this question in "PT Performance," so I apologize for the repost, but the battery in my '02 Limited (purchased in Sept '02) seems to be getting weak. I don't want to get stuck with a dead battery.

Is the battery covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty?

TIA.

Tipsy

Down here, battery is covered under a 12 month warranty.

You should have received a warranty booklet with your car. Check the coverage. The warranty information for the 2003 PT Cruiser would suggest that the battery is covered under the basic warranty, the only exclusions they list are tires (warranted by the tire manufacturer) and aftermarket parts. I just ran out and checked my warranty book. The limitations are the same, everything is covered with the exception of the tires and aftermarket. The Wear items are covered for 1 year, that includes plugs and wires, the brake pads and discs and the clutch.
