Default RECALL on my 04'

man i have only had my limited 04' for 2 1/2 months and i already have a recall. i thought they would have these things fixed by now. i had 3 recalls on my touring 01'. looks like the recall is for power train seal (C30) that may cause corrosion along with electrical problems in which they may have to replace the whole boot. my appointment is friday and im holding my breath.

I know it seems like a pain, but DC has been really good about doing recalls for problems that pop up..

They didn't take forever to fix that fuel line issue that popped up on the 01's.

Recalls are a part of the car-owning experience. Better to have recalls than not to have recalls, if you catch my drift.

Hate to dig up historic facts, but you should have owned one of the new GM World Cars! Literally continual recalls. parking brake lockups, rotors, pcv valves, leaks, exhaust system, trim generally, etc.
And I hadda wait 6 months for the beast!!!!!!

No wonder you're "happy as a bee" in your PT.

Now, let's see some pics of the chrome rearview mirrors you decided to go with, Lars.

They have all the 2001 & 2002 stuff fixed.

The '03 & newer use a completely different PCM design that combines the TCM and PCM in one unit.

That's why only the new cars are effected.

All of us 2001-2002 owners are in the clear.

Does anyone know more about this recall? It doesn't show up in any of the data bases (nhtsa, alldata) as of yet.
