Not to be picky or anything, but the Block Party 1 (while it was a D/C sponsored cruiser event-basically for their own promotion of their vehicles-not just cruisers) was not a show and shine (like CTF or ST or CRC) or for charity. Anyone else that attended (besides my son) horrified by the massive amounts of filthy cruisers/cruiser wheels that showed up at that event? Just my .02. I am not picky-I like all of the cruiser events!!!
Actually, the raffle money was donated to some cause or another.

Dan

Lisa, I didn't make the first one, but did go to the second one in August of '02 when it had rained earlier in the day, and didn't see any dirty PT's. Everyone had cleaned their ride up pretty good.
Are you saying that at Block Party 1 there were a bunch of filthy PT's?
Just curious.

DC Canada also donated $10,000 each of the past 2 years to the Illitis and Coletis (sp) foundation during the CTF weekend. Very cool!!

(I have a pic somewhere.. searching now)

Which is a good cause. I have Colitis and I was touched by their donation.

I believe those were the D/C PT owners events-not the Block Parties. Yes, there were TONS of dirty PTs at the Block Party 1 (at 6 Flags Great America), but not at the Block Party 2 (in Pomona, Ca).

There was a raffle at both Block Parties-Block Party 2 went to Surfrider Foundation. But it was not a charity event, it had a charity raffle at the event.

Hehe.... I remember that.... People who showed up at the Block party one looked around at all of the detailed PTs in the parking lot and tried to make theirs seem decent. Boy that was fun!!

Tomcat, I believe lisa is referiing to the Block Party at Six Flags.

You are confusing that with the Chrysler Black Tee Party at Chrysler's HQ in Auburn Hills.

Not to be picky or anything, but I didn't get no invites to none of these events!

Don't have to get an invite to show up.
