Default We ae now a 2 PT family!

Well, our 01 Cranberry 5 speed is almost paid off..2 more payments. Mrs. Saxonburgcruiser has been driving it most of the time. Since i have such a long commute to work, i figured it woul dbe better if she used th enew one. Well, after 124,000 miles, i decided to give my poor 95 Cirrus a break(although it is running GREAT). I really wanted a new turbo, but since i have one in college, and another one who will be in college within 2 years, i didn't want to go that far into debt.

As some may know, my brother is a long time employee at a DC dealership, as the service manager. I have a good relationship with his employer, and i get some pretty good deals on both new and used cars. Today, i picked up my 'new' used car.

I boought an 02 Patriot blue PT. 20K miles. It is the base model, or 'classic' i guess. It does have a few options....automatic, keyless entry/power locks, power heated mirrors, CD/Cassette unit, Cruise, and deep tint glass. It is a 'certified' unit, plus i added the chrysler 'added care' warranty coverage.

Car cost me $10,350, plus an additional $885 to have it certified and for the added care warranty...so now it carries an 8/80 warranty on it.

I had never really driven an automatic before....it has decent power...not like my 5 speed but still pretty good. It is going to be cool having the PT's parked side by side in the garage.
I will get some picts posted as soon as i have a chance to take some.
Dave

Welcome to the club! We're a two PT family also and, interestingly enough, I traded in my '95 Cirrus when I bought my Cruiser, too. It was a good car for me, too!!

Actually thats kind of funny. The wheels are for the 01...you and i made the wheel deal before i made the deal on this PT. In fact, i found a buyer for my chrome dimples too...now i don't want to sell them, but i gave my word so i will.
I will now be on the lookout for another set of wheels, becasue i know the MRS is not going to give up those wheels when she sees them....hehehhe

Thanks. I am actually keeping the Cirrus. My 20 y.o. son drove it over the summer when i had my caravan, and he loves the Cirrus. Plus i have a 16 y.o. who will start driving in the spring. The Cirrus will be the kids car. I am VERY pleased with the service i got out of the Cirrus. I am also VERY happy with my PT....the 01 will be 3 y.o. next month and has given me ZERO problems. That's one reason i didn't hesitate to buy another one.
