Default PT Convertable titbits and other cool info.

I was at the dealer today getting my oil changed and the dealer manager gave me a few tidbits on the PT Convertable. Production will start on 07 Jan and will be in dealers by early to mid February. Some bad news though. The price in Chrysler's magazine was incorrect. There has been no price set on the convertable.

Other cool news. The Crossfire convertable is a go!!! It will be a soft top and will be available in March/April time frame. There will also be an SR/T 6 model with a 260 hp supercharger.

Dan

I think the dealer is a bit mis-informed. Why would Chrysler magazine say the price is set if it wasn't. Chrysler runs the magazine so they have the correct info. Also, there's no way there will be a Crossfire SRT-6, only Dodge has SRT models. Maybe he got the name wrong though. Any SRT-6 would probably be a Stratus. Can you tell I don't trust anything a dealer says ? They tend to not know much about the cars they sell

He has a letter from Chrysler stating that the info printed in the magazine is a misprint and he should have more info by Mid November.

BTW... the extra tidbits are regarding the Crossfire.

I've been saying all along that something wasn't Kosher about that article!

That's just what the Crossfire needed to be "as fast as" other 2 seaters such as the 350Z...too bad it didn't come that way to begin with!

And finally, its nice to see an informed dealer......when I ask one of my locals dealers about the PT convertible, he had no clue - didn't even know they were building one!

Hope the price on the convertible stays reasonable. I think I feel one calling to me...

I think the Car companies also test the waters leaking info out to see what sort of interest it gets from consumers

Isn't a titbit what a woman gets when she messes around with a chestnut?

Good to see there are other warped individuals out there!
