Now if Pontiac had made this the original design, I could see how they could have done well with this model... I can picture the engineering design group discussing this model with management, Dilbert-style. The engineering group creates what they see as a very nice looking car (pictured above) and the pointy-haired manager (to justify his existence within the company) slips in some last minute design changes making the vehicle grossly unattractive. When the cars don't sell well, he blames the engineering department.

If the lights were merged into a single triangular unit on each side and the hood scoops and grill were evened-out to more of a Dodge-style cross that would be an OK ride. Right now it still looks like there were too many committees involved in the final look of the front-end parts.
