Hi there PT CHIX........well an interesting dilemma ! I looked into the Powerchip article and your gain for your vehicle is 16 hp MAX !! I can't see this route being the best bang for the buck. Now in order to achieve a real seat of the pants difference in the cars performance, I believe you will have to go the route of the super charger or turbo. Now you would be making some serious power gains......in this case over 200 from your present 150. Another thing to think about is that these two options are not cheap, so .........if you were contemplating buying either one of these options, I would look at a new Turbo. Your car is very well done and would definately command a higher than normal price. At present, the rates for purchasing or leasing a vehicle have never been so good !! With the Turbo, you are getting all the right parts from the get go. With the addition of the turbo or supercharger to your present vehicle, I feel you would have to possible do some extra bottom end engine mods to ensure long term reliability. If you look through these forums, you will come across a Mr.
Bob Stockum. He would be the gentlman to talk to about the turbo route as he has successfully performed numerous turbo transformations on the early PT's.

A little food for thought to confuse you some more ! Well, horse power usually has never been cheap ! That is good usable power. Well I hope this helps you out a bit. I have a Silver Turbo and I used to have a 2001 Limited, and the difference in the two cars is like night and day. The Turbo is pretty quick. There are a lot of surprised drivers in this city who have watched my tail light's pull away from them !! It's the only way to fly ! Good Luck !
