Default Can someone explain this re: trunk?

I noticed that sometimes, when I lock the hatch and then drive the car, the next time I go to open it, it is unlocked.

Sometimes, I lock it and it remains locked.

Is there a way that I am doing this? or is this a problem?

Its a base model with no power locks.

I dont know if the base model has this feature, but on the Limited Edition you can unlock the hatch (and all of the other doors) by unlocking the drivers door twice.

Impossible w/o power locks. I have a base model as well, if I were CyanJaguar I'd take it to the dealer. Maybe CJ has power locks and doesn't know it

Although I have a base model, it did come with pwr locks / keyless entry, but I had a loaner PT once with neither. I noticed that you have to manually lock the rear hatch, as with all the doors by turning the key to the left (or was it right) otherwise it stays un locked

I finally figured it out. It turned out to be operator error afterall

I guess I was just so used to a trunk self-locking by just closing it. I would close the hatch and forget to lock it with the key.

I hope thats it anyhow.

That's one minor annoyance with the manual locks. I've made it a habit to check the hatch when I park even if I remember locking it before I left.

Yeah, but then you pick up all those super secret broadcasts made by the Illuminati from their secret base on Mars. They were behind the Aztek, you know.
