YIKES!!!

Tried to edit a post I made just a few minutes ago and got this....


I know it wasn't 60 minutes ago... what's up with that?


The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 60 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.

yep, thats a new feature that prevents those "mysterious gaps in the tape" from apearing in older "thought provoking" posts

(hmmm, my edit featured worked 30 seconds later....now to wait a bit longer)

okay, its 15 minutes later....edit seems to be still working okay

I I see what happened the font colour was the same as the back ground

That 60 minute time limit really hurts us bad spellers. I found out about it when I tried to fix some glaring spelling errors in one of my posts. Yeah, I know, that's incentive to get it right the first time. But if I waited until I had time for full proof-reading I probably would never post anything. It just seems silly to bug Scott in order to edit a message to fix bad spelling, IMHO.

Please- do NOT!! Maybe extend it to 48 hours, but I like that feature.

Perhaps its your profile as a moderator that is the culprit. KR8Z seems to be able to edit.

BK, are you not able to edit your posts at all?

We discussed in PM's why I set it this way.

If it is still letting you edit yours for the full 60 minutes, then I don't see that as a problem. If it isn't working correctly for you, then I'll try to get it fixed.

Thanks for the PM... I received your PM and now understand why you HAD the 60 minute timeframe restriction to the "edit option"....

Don't worry Scott... looks like the 60 minute edit restriction is working just the way it should for me...



UNFORTUNATELY... THERE MUST STILL BE A FEW PEOPLE HERE AT PTE WHO THINK IT IS FUN TO START FLAMES AND BE DISREPECTFUL TO OTHERS ON POSTS ON THIS BOARD!!!

IT IS A SHAME THAT EVERYONE HAS TO BE PUNISHED FOR A FEW BAD APPLES!!!
