I went to wall mart & found NOTHING therew & Target had a couple of LED tubes & that was it. I guess I'll hit websites & other local stores for prices before deciding how/wich to use.

Thanks again for more info.
Rach, If you can't find any neons anywhere I can always pick up whatever you need and send them to you. The ones from Wal-mart are usually $9.99 each. I'll have to check on the ones at Target. Just let me know.

QUICK- the auction ends soon.. (3 hours)

mirrors with LEDs (blue) built in. Great price, but they are NOT power mirrors.

(sorry- didn't mean to confuse with all that mumbo-jumbo, just wanted to note that LEDs are a little different than bulbs. Great site Jer, loved the images in your album too!! )

Wow! That's an awesome price on those Sean. I wouldn't mind having a set of those for my PT. Now all I have to do is convince LadyCruzr to hand over the credit card.

Rachel

I followed jerry's instructions and have a set very similar to ptcruiser363. You can only see the tubes from extreme angles, but the glow is awsome...

Thanks but I wanna keep my heated/folding mirrors. The neon tubes will be more than enough.......Or the LED. Decisions, decision! Guess I should try tp make it to a PTCSV functiuon at night to check it out.
Can't believe I'm looking at neons!! I was completely dead set against it till yesterday. Dunno why I changed my mind....but it'll be fun to have.

PCruzr - This is a great description! I think it is something I can do as a bad weather project but I have one question...

Do you use the small neon tubes that have the cigarette lighter adaption on the end of them? And, if this is the type, when you cut off the lighter adaptor, how do you know which is the positive and which is the negative wires?

Sorry if the question sounds like it should be in "car electronics for dummies" but that is my level!!!

Thanks!

Yep, the tubes that I use have the cig plug on them. Just cut them off. The positive wire has a white stripe on it. Be careful NOT to use the VERY small, thin 6" tubes because they have a transformer inside the cig plug which means you won't be able to cut it off. The 10" tubes have the transformer built inside the tube housing.
