672 PTs per day is 28 per hour, based on 2 -12 hour shifts running continously.
That's a new PT every 2 minutes! (and people wonder why they occasionally get a defective warranty part) The 279,000 per year substantiates a 12 hour work shift. That's why you see soo many stockpiled on dealers. The latest report shows roughly 500,000 PT purchased so far. That's a half million! They've been building them since March 2000. Ok, 279K per year for 3.5 years = 976,500 PTs built so far. That means there should be almost as many in the supply chain as they've sold. Not good news for Mother Mopar. Looks like the market is beyond saturated. The special editions (dreamers) only appeal to the fring. This means they have over 3 years worth of PTs to sell if they quit making them today! Think about it.

it would be cool to tour a car plant . I would love to see how one is put together start to finish ....
