Mine will be flipping over to 80K probably around Thursday
![]() Best car I ever owned.. and I'm not known for taking really good care of my cars.. LOL Mechanically... I haven't had to do a darned thing to it except get a tune-up and change the oil. There was that little fuel hose disaster awhile back.. but that was a design flaw which was recalled and fixed in the early 2001 models. |

Only 27K but no problems whatsoever. This is THE BEST vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned many vehicles in the past thirty years. Fit and finish is outstanding, I have seen high dollar luxury cars that weren't put together as well as the PT.

I think you are just asking the wrong "lot" of people!
I have put almost 47K on my dream cruiser in 17 months-I have not had any major problems with the vehicle. The only thing is those darn goodyears. They also seem to be very safe rides-heard of lots of wrecks, but only 3 fatalities. ![]()

53K miles & 3.5 years of ownership here. Only minor problems on mine over that time. All have been covered under warranty/extended warranty except one set of brake pads. The tranny is my car's major trouble spot, but wierdly enough, it's a $5 part according to my dealership's records....so, I guess as far as tranny troubles go, it's more a PITA than a costly repair ( that's the kind I hate.). I'd highly suggest a Chrysler Extended Warranty. Not because the PT is a bad cau. Just to make you feel secure. I know it was worth every cent in "security" factor & one major repair before 100K miles & it'll pay for itself.
Would I buy the PT again, if I knew then what I know now?? A resounding YES! Hope to see you back as an owner. ![]()
