Default New Turbo ad on TV?

Just saw a Cruiser TV ad I have never seen before. Two Turbo PTs weaving across each others paths in a desert somewhere. One was silver, the other an unknown darker color (the ad was shot in those semi black and white tones)

As they went in for close up shots of the cars they were overlaid with flames (!) and pinstriping (!!)

The tag line went something like "PT Cruiser - Customize your Life". Does this mean Chrysler has finally got what this car is all about??!!

Chrysler has always known what its all about, every dealer that I have worked with so far has a system for ordering aftermarket parts for Cruisers and always offers to install them.
The problem is that they limit the options or availability from the factory. So you have no choice but to modify the car to your liking.

The pinstripes in that commercial are new but the desert scene is old. There is a new commercial with a base model (cant remember the color), an almond woody with surfboards on top, and an electric blue GT all driving along the coast and then a black one with flames going the opposite way.

This weeks "People" has an ad for a GT - electric blue on a black page with blue outline flames..... Might have to buy the magazine rather than read it at the grocery store

I've seen it about 10 times now. Very cool commercial. I think it was filmed on the Bonneville Salt Flats. That was where they first tested & did the commercial for the 300M (She's a real firecracker!) back in 1957!
