Hey, Congratulations I have a friend who became a Deputy Sheriff after 15 years as a bartender. I had to hold her hand through the whole process, the exams, the background checks, etc. Then came the Academy. Have you done that yet? It is an amazing accomplishment. You have every right to be very proud. It's been almost a year since my friend graduated and she's happy than she's ever been. Best of luck to you.

Ok Jerry congratulations on your new job.

Now what kind of gun are you going to train with. I can help with 45, 357, 9milimiters, 380, 38...you name it I most have tried it a least one. That is the family business in Puerto Rico selling guns and ammo. My brother owns a gun club and a gun shop in Puerto Rico. Both him and my father are members of the Auxiliary Police Department and they are both certified instructors.

Congratulations Sherif Jerry.

Thanks for the congrats everyone. I'm really excited about this job. It's something that I've wanted to do ever since I was a little snot nosed brat. For the first year I'll be working at the local jail with the prisoners. After that I get the opportunity to move to other positions like riding in a patrol car, SWAT, Drug Enforcement, K9, Motorcycle Patrol, and a few others.
During my background check they noticed that I had recently been awarded the Most Obsessed award by PToholics (they are VERY thorough) . You should have been there when I had to explain that one...
They actually got quite a kick out of it.
One of the good things about working at the jail is that LadyCruzr is the nurse there.

Congrats on this accomplishment Jerry. I feel safer already knowing that you will be protecting the fine citizens of Cherokee County. Does this mean that I will need a designated driver to take me home after our weekly dinner meetings?
