Mine ended up under $100.00 CDN and no new holes in the body. I didn't want to drill any holes into the car since I drive it all year round and find enough battles with the road salt as it is. I just made the same style bracket for the bottom, tied it to the fender mounting bolt and made it long enough to line up with the reccomended drilling location.

After everyones reccomendation I did flip the struts over. No noticable difference in performance but Blane made a very valid point concerning gas containment in the strut, thanks Blane.

Hay Gary (the detail man):

If you see this, give us all your advice on cleaning our engines. That way, when we post pics, we won't have to take grief over our dirty engines.

I think the same thing as TangerineDream whenever I see a posted pic of a dirty engine compartment.

No offense to anyone. Please understand.

No offense taken here. It's unfortunately one of the hazards of my job which among other places takes me to cement plants and quarries. The engine is usually covered in dust again within a week of a wash at the outside. It really makes me appreciate the cabin air filter though.

I paid $38 cdn per strut or $76 cdn for both which seemed like an exellent price
