Default New '04 colors

Just took a ride to local dealer, saw the Plum and Cool Vanilla, sorry but to me, in person, they still look exactly like Stone White and Cranberry, no Seamist yet. But he had a Black "Platinum" Limited, real nice, and urprisingly enough, the sticker says no charge for the platimun options, chrome grill, lock knobs, shifter handle, etc., wasn't the chrome package, but the platinum. I was messing around the other day on the web with pricing new Cruisers and the next day I get a call from a dealer, I said I wasn't really serious, but if the right offer came along, who knows. When I was there today, he said he would try to get the #'s to work, maybe 13000.00 trade in on my '02. I said we're getting closer but not there yet, the Black Platinum listed for 24 and change.

negotiating with a dealer can be frustrating for sure

I thought the same about Cool Vanilla and Plum...certainly from a distance they looked about the same as their predecessors. Closer up you could see the yellow tint to the vanilla, and the plum has less of the red overtones associated with cranberry. Another local dealer supposedly just got a sea mist in stock, so I'll check it out tonight.

That's my impression, too, after finally seeing the colors up close and personal. I'm very disappointed with them. They need to come out with a Candy Apple Green and Screaming Yellow, IMHO.

I have seen the Seamist Green in person. At first from a distance I thought. hmm not that bad. However as I walked closer and the door was opened, the door jams made me say eww. Just to much Seamist green.

As for the new Vanilla, I too think it has to much of a yellow tint. The first time I seen one was on a car carrier and I first said, Oh look at the Almond with the chorme kit. Then when we came back around I realized it was a new white one

Have not seen the the Plum. However if it is anything like the picture... I love it.

What $1000 rebate? It's only $500.

As usually, more bad info from another dealer. Ask him to check again. It's $500.00 on 04's and $2,500 on 03's. I just ordered two 04's and Chrysler's web site confirms the 04 rebate.

Go to special offers and plug in your zip and model year:

http://www.chrysler.com/purchase/ind...type=homepromo

From their website for 04's:

PT Cruiser Base
09/03/2003 to 10/31/2003 Cash $500
or
APR 36/48/60 months 0.0/2.9/3.9

PT Cruiser (excl. Base)
09/03/2003 to 10/31/2003 Cash $500
or
APR 36/48/60 months 0.0/2.9/3.9
