I've noticed a slight lowering of prices. More vendors are running sales as well. As the number of PT Cruisers increases and the money needed to create the parts is paid off, we'll see prices go down a lot more. That's the way it usually happens.

It's a whole lot cheaper for you guys in the U.S. than it is for those of us here in Canada. We have to pay whatever they are charging for the part, the difference in that cost between the two dollars, higher shipping costs, customs fees, and, if it gets sent by a courier, we also get hit with brokerage fees on top of everything else!
I still wouldn't trade my PT for a pickup truck though. Although, I might be talked into one of those PT pickups as a second car if and when they go onto production.

Count me in... of course, it will be real easy... BECAUSE I'M DONE WITH MINE!

mmmmmmmm 3 months is an awful long time.
I am severely addicted and without a mod fix a week I might do something drastic

And WILD BILL could never go a full 3 months. He has a hard time going 3 days. Heaven knows he would have to getan Aztec and mod it out just to prove he could produce a better looking vehicle. roflmao

you must see why the parts are so much more than for pickups they have sold about 550,000 pt give or take and lets say 10 % are doing mods so that is 55,000 and 10% of them are doind major mods like body kits so now we are down to 5,500 PT,s the time and money that they put in to making the kits from design to finsh is much harder to recover with such a limited customer base so the price has to be higher

now when they do parts for lets say a 1995 chev pickup the body style was the same for 7 years they sold 6,000,000 trucks and with the same math we used on the PT you would have 60,000 people doing body kits that is 11 times the customer base and much easier to sell the body kits as well as you recover your design cost in a much shorter time so the price will be much lower sooner
Dean
agree with that. R& D is costly.
The material and stuff may not be expensive but the effort at designing them right so all of us ANAL modders like it and don't complain, is huge.
I had no prob payin for my BTG bar for the GT. I coulda cut ithe bracket apart, but i wanted it to look right. The new pieces fit great and look "right" in the car...so...that's economics.

Not to look like a hypocrite, but I just "won" a set of 1949 chrysler hubcaps on ebay today. I don't think it counts because they are antique.

Hey, do what I did. Keep the PT and get a truck, too. I heartily recommend the new Ram with the HEMI engine.

Been looking at a new Ram 1500 or a Ford Lightning, they are a bit more then what I expected for the Turbo Cruiser, but I found the RX-8 right in the same price range.
Hmm 283 HP with a 6 Speed. Very tempting

they are having problems with the RX-8, they over rated the HP, by 5 or 6%, so they are offering to buy them back from the people that bought them originally
