Default Cruiser-Less (aka, Dealer Woes)

Took the afternoon off today to get some warranty work done on my Cruiser. The steering column has had the squeaking/rubbing noise so they ordered a new column and it came in last week.

After waiting patiently for two hours the service manager came back and said the dreaded words "Um, can I have a word with you Mr. Kay?".

It turns out that after they have dismantled the whole steering column they did not have the needed parts! I was royally p*ssed!! So I now have some POS rental car and my little red street rod edition is sitting in the dealers with no steering column. They don't know how long it will take to get the needed part and I have to wait for a call tomorrow. Whatever happens I will get it back at the beginning of next week even if they have to rebuild the column as it was before - Shore Thing 3 is only a week away and I am going to be there come hell or high water!

I am a very sad cruiser owner tonight as my little car and I have never been parted before!

That really sucks! I know how you feel. My PT was gone for a whole week when it was getting its bumpers painted. Hopefully they can get the part in quickly. If not, tell them to take the part off of one of the PTs in their lot so you can make it to Shore Thing 3.

Sorry you are parted from your Cruiser. I have a suggestion to ease your pain. Maybe you can look at a picture of her. Or if you have a remote controll PT take it out & play with it.

That's really disappointing. I'm sure it will come out ok. Good Luck.

That is so sick. How can they tell you they are ready to do the work when they don't have the parts.
Sucks bigtime.
