Default Magicpineapple! PROH Hood Design Flaw!

I have PMed you TWICE within 2 weeks (July 30th & August 11th) so as to keep this possible flaw between us, but have had no response! YET,I know you've been on because of your post on the 13th to my 3000th post!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is what I sent on the 30th, "Hey there, busy man! Got a conundrum for ya! I noticed some dried coolant around the radiator cap a while ago! Couldn't figure out how it was getting out, until I saw the paint worn off of the right hood support member that goes RIGHT over the cap! So there's some major pressure on the cap!
Any suggestions? Lemme know when you can!"

No response!

THEN on the 11th, "Hey Mag, I'm hopin' you have some kind of suggestion for your PROH hood design flaw since my first p.m. to you 11 days ago! I'm not the only one, I heard! Please respond!"
ANY help, suggestions, ATTENTION or response would STILL be helpful!

Odd. That's not the case with my Flipen/PROH hood at all.

My cap, and paint, are NOT worn at all.

When I installed mine, I noticed that you can SLIGHTLY adjust the front supports so that they jut UP about 1/8th inch or so. Its where the support tube recevies the bolt, and screws into the existing threaded hole in the rad support. There are 2 come to think of it.

Loosen those, you may have to loosen both sides (grill needs to be removed) push UPWARDS to gain that clearance. All should be fine.

I would HIGHLY recommend this hood opening harward- its excellent workmanship, good value, and Pineapple is a great person to deal with, notwithstanding this post! That hood is my second most fav. mod, next to painted bumpers.

Picture below is what I am talking about. The top/left most bolt can be loosened, and the tube that runs DOWN from there can be lifted SLIGHTLY.

Just a thought about the "flaw" (if there is one), perhaps the GOOD HOOD installation is a little different than the OEM hood that so many others have on who aren't having the same problem. I personally heard the same problem by someone else with the PROH hood on a GOOD HOOD. I know Magic had to work a lot of magic on installing as it isn't the same as the regular OEM hood. Could it be possible?

Just my .01¢ (as it may not be worth .02¢)

Hey, I was defending Jimmy's design, no need to jump my chicken! I think Jimmy's work is great, I just know that the installation on the GOOD HOOD is different than the installation on the OEM hood, and requires some "customization". Was just a thought. (hence the .01¢ comment)
