Question squeaking noise on GT?!

I've had a squeaking noise on my GT 5 spd for a few months now...I took it to the dealer, and the first time they told me it was normal.....second time (when it was louder) they told me that they had to replace my Intake gaskets (which they did this week).

Afterwards, it seemed that the engine was smoother, both in pickup and idle. When I got home and was parking in the garage, however, the squeaking noise was still there.....

....the noise even exhibits itself when I turn off the motor, and it sounds like I've choked a bird! Even if I turn it back on then off, this noise it still there! Is this a normal noise? I don't recall every hearing it before about 2 months ago, and am not sure if the dealer knows what they're doing....

Appreciate any comments....suggestions....if I have to go to a different dealer, I WILL!

Squeaking as in chirping sound? My GT had a chirping sound that would wear off after a few minutes of running. Come to find out the power steering pump was leaking fluid onto the belt. They replaced the pump and the noise is gone!

it does sound a bit like a chirping noise, but i only happens when the PT is at idle or being shut off....when you step on the accelerator even a tad, the sound stops.

I'm not sure if that the steering pump would cause this...any other takers out there on this problem? I'd like to get some opinions on what the issue is before I even take it to another dealer and waste 3 weeks of my time going back and forth!

Sorry, Joe....no ideas here. It took about 3 attempts for my dealership to actually find and solve the problem. Good luck and keep us posted.
