They rust anyway so leave them out and keep them new looking !!!! Sounds mucho better than with them in. You can also just take the insulation off and stick them back in and have that in between sound.....Have fun deciding...

A word of advice if you put the baffles back in paint them with some high temperature paint. The baffles with duals tend to rust. The baffles are the only part of the system that isn't stainless steel
