Default Why a specific PT when taking photos?

Just curious, after perusing all the photos from CTF3...why do you take a photo of one PT over another, aside from the obvious?

Please note: I WILL be taking notes from this so I can make someone's, ANYONE'S album next year!!!

For me, it is just anything and everything that catches my eye. If it is a crazy wild flame or paint job that takes up the whole Cruiser, I'll take a pic of the entire car. If it is just one little logo, I'll take a pic of that logo close up. For instance, DC brought the "Super Cruiser," so I took a picture of just that logo on the door because it was different. Someone else had an old fashioned Chrysler logo in their grill, so I took a close up of that. Just whatever catches my eye. My wife just asked me tonight why I take so many close up pictures of the smallest details. My response, "just because it caught my eye and you wouldn't notice that detail in a picture of the whole Cruiser."

I take pictures of PTs that are: The same color as mine. Not to OVER-DONE with nick-nacks. Custom hoods, paint, or chrome. Or if they are just really clean looking.

For me, I look for a mod I haven't seen before that catches my eye, or it's a PT I've seen before and I want to zone in on one specific detail. I don't like to just get 'portraits' of every PT in attendance. That gets, well, a little dull after a while - especially when you have lots of people taking pictures.

Now that is a pretty cool trick categorizing the entire CTF3, kudos!

Thank you for the image/link...what was the line Steve Martin kept yelling in his movie "The Jerk"...."I'm somebody now, I'm somebody now, I made the CTF3 photo album!"

Well, something like that!?

I didn't make CTF3, but my shot selection is pretty much like the rest. I'm looking for things I haven't seen before and will probably forget the finer details. So, I shot it.

Comedy
These are my personal opinions and not meant to insult, offend, or put anybody down.
And while I am at it, one thread in here has a link to everyone, and there is a chance you made mine. Describe yours for me, maybe I did get you.
Anyway, to answer the question.
If it's a small show like Hell, Cleveland, London2Paris, I will have pics of everybody since I have plenty of time and memory.
A larger show like CTF (twice) and StL (planning to go), I will take pics of the things that catch my eye, even those I don't like, if there was some artistic merit (and that is in the eye of the beholder).
I prefer hand painted flames and pinstriping over decals or magnetic add-ons.
However, it is obvious that not many people like hand painted pinstriping since I have only made 2 other albums to my knowledge. I like custom touches that are not too common. If sheet metal was used for custom tail-lights, that is different.
I would love to get a hi-res pic of BassetHounds car just because the design used incorporated real
antique parts namely '35 Ford bumpers.
I like the custom noses and rolled pans.
So that is why I take what I take.
Nuff said, I'm getting winded. Hope I answered your question.
