I have a dual Bassani exhaust on my PT and I leave the baffels in. I think the sound/note is just right.
 But don't think for one second I like quiet exhausts. I run my Borla exhaust on my Trans Am wide open (no cat) and I'm all smiles every time I drive it. Nothing better than the sound of a strong V8!  Just my opinion - it's really hard to get a 4 banger to sound that good with a loud exhaust.
