Fittings are in, assembly is spliced back in, hoses hooked up, tank filled, car lifted. Leaving it lifted for an hour or two and listening for compressor activity. If all goes well, I go swap tag to AL tomorrow, get gas today, take care of moving insurance and getting adjusted rate. Hopefully...this good stuff part lasts.

EDIT: Got car out on road, got tag swapped. Rear seats go back in tonight, then all that's left is letting the shop finish their stuff when I go to SC a week, then sell.

what would we ever do! no more running to the 'mechanic guy' or the 'body shop guy' to get information...

Yeah...it felt REALLY good to drive it some again, after over 2 weeks of not being able to, before that, over a week of being unable to... Only remaining work to finish it can only be done by the shop in SC, so I get to do nothing more than clean it and put seats back in now.

Good Job Robert!

Good Job Robert!

Thanks. Keeping it isn't in the cards, but the next PT I make into a show car isn't gonna be too far behind and Mephisto will look half-done and crude in comparison. Of course, this other one will be trailered...

Yea!! Glad to hear she's back on the road. So now you know more of the ins and outs of air ride systems what're we going to learn about next?

Congratulations and good job Rob.

Next we learn about how to keep it from leaking. One of the new fittings leaks like crazy now. I don't know why. Tomorrow morning, I go get ANOTHER new fitting. I think I'll take some extra cash, too, and buy extras...because it WILL fail again.

teflon tape to the rescue... and make sure if you cut the ends of the lines square...

and be careful you don' overtighten, that can be just as bad as too loose...

I'll try, with or without a PT.

For now...I wait angrily for tomorrow to go set straight the bank that just robbed me of $6800. Then I go buy LOTS of fittings and some 3/8" hose. Then I get more silicon sealant. Then I seal THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. The way I see it, if I plug up new fittings for the WHOLE thing, with some new hose, then cover every inch of hose with sealant, and seal where hose meets fitting, let cure, wrap to prevent sealant coming off...there's NO WAY it can leak again.

Other things going on too. Basically, I've been robbed of $10,000 in the last month and I'm REALLY mad about it now. I've been patient. And the LACK of quality with these fittings is simply amazing.
