That's about right.

My stock 2002 is rated at 150 hp at the motor.
With only an open element air intake and a single outlet Dynomax muffler, I pulled 113hp at the front wheels.

Docbrock2 pulled 118hp with an Ingen intake and a pacesetter muffler. We are identicle, other than that.

The math says 25% driveline loss for my auto trans with those 2 mods.
I would guess about 28% on a stock PT automatic trans.
I'm at 10K miles and it's just getting loosened up.

Great pics and stats, MX-5 and thanks for sharing. You all obviously had a great time!

I loved seeing that '67 Plymouth Sports Fury. I had a white '66 Plymouth Sports Fury back in the day with the 383 and it sure had plenty of torque and power, as I recall.

Interesting data on the "loss" of HP between engine and wheels. My Ram HEMI (pure stock) has a 25 percent driveline loss, which I think is pretty efficient. But some Ram HEMI owners whine about that!

If you look at the race car, you can see it's a little more efficient.

The engine dyno showed 678hp at the crank.
Our chassis dyno read 528hp.

That's 22% loss through a 2-speed powerglide trans.

Interestingly, the torque remained about the same.

Lisa,
That 10K is mostly driving to club events and going to the Falls.

It's a garage queen.

Of course, a bunch of those miles are at the dragstrip.
1 mile per run. 1/4 to race, 1/4 to stop, 1/2 to drive back to the staging lanes.

I picked up a print from Ken Hall today.
It was taken in the parking lot, outside in the sunshine.

He says "$15 and it's yours."

PM me with a shipping address.
