Default front end grinding noise

Hello: Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem or knows what it could be. It is a sound that is a bit of a grinding noise but it also sounds as though the tires were catching on the plastic inner fender liner and rubbing and flapping or grinding. At the moment it happens a low speeds turning to the right and accelerating.

Thank You

If your car is under warranty, don't guess, take it to the dealer.

Check the lower plastic dam under the front end. If you have scraped it on a few parking lot cement barriers it may have come loose a bit.

I had that happen. When mine was lowered the new springs stuck out & the caught the inner black lip ( Scrape....POP!). I had hubby drag the Dremel Tool outside & cut out some of the wheelwell inner liner. No problem since.
Are you still under warranty w/ stock suspension? If so, take it in & make THEM fix it.
It may also be the power streering, the rack & pinion or your brakes. I've had repairs on all of the above....
The brakes being the worst offenders. At 46,698 miles I have already had 3 front brake jobs & 1 defective caliper replaced under warranty.
Altho- with your description I'm leaning toward the inner fender well....
Look at your springs & then look straight up. See if you can detect scratches in the paint covering the spring, or if the lip is frayyed. This will clue you in as to WHERE it's hitting. If you're still stock, my FIRST move would be head to the dealer. After all, you paid for the warranty along w/ the car!

Or it could be the good ole universal joint/axle.The rubber boots covering the U-joint eventually weather, crack and tear. This allows dirt and grime in which adds to normal wear very drastically. What usually results is a grinding/vibrating noise that is only heard during a turn.If one is indeed worn out...might as well have both replaced.

Wow! Thank You to all of you that responded to my thread about the front end noise. I do understand that it is still under warranty but I like to try and find the culprit before taking it to the dealer and having them replace half the car. :I shall take all of your advice and see if I can find the problem. If I do I will post to let everyone know what the problem was incase someone else ends up with this problem.

If there is anyonew else out there with some advice on what it could be please let me know.

Thanks All!)

Thumbs down

When replacing my bent wheel a couple weeks ago I did notice that I have a cracked bushing. Betcha anything that'll go & I won't have the "creaky-squeaky" sound anymore ( hoping so, anyway).

Hope you can find what's up...If you do...let everyone know so that they will know what's up if/when it happens to them.

Rach, I've just had the front bushes (rear) replaced on both sides. The drivers side was torn and the passenger side was looking dodgy so it was replaced too. As where the wheel bearings on the front right...

Good. Definitely take it to the dealer...it could even be the front CV joints.
