Unhappy Feeling guilty-betrayal

Just sent off for a quote request to my favorite DC dealer--trade in the 02 Dreamer for an 03 Turbo Dreamer, 5 sp---

How bad will the $$ hit be???????? anyone care to guess? I expect the price quote on the Dream Turbo to be about $500 over invoice but the trade-in is going to 'freak me' I just know it....

Good luck! They lowballed me so bad on the estimate for my 01 for trade-in that I bought the dreamer on its own and gave my sister the 01. I had to pay full price (well, minus the rebate and deposit match) for the dreamer cause it was ordered and not in stock. I wouldn't let them "steal" the cranbaby.

Wish you could keep what you have and have 2 dreamers.

Keep both-can't--not an option--I only have enough room to park 3 cars and that is what I currently have soooo to get one I gotta sell one.....

Should be interesting to see what happens--I'll only go soooomuch for the turbo dollar wise.....The Dream 1 loan carries interest, the new Dream 2 would be 60 at 0% if DC's web site is to believed and that makes up some of the 'loss"....

Just some of my mod options seemed more in line with a turbo....kind of hard to build a hot rod without a little bit of 'hot'..I can see ghost flames of a sort on the tangerine but I've yet to see a flame job on a Dream 1 that I like.......but if not the DC 1 will stay a long time and be finely detailed-just not over the top which I might do with the turbo.....

Flame job on a Dreamer?!?!?!...........Don't do that!......They are unique enough as it is.

As far as trade in........your probably always gonna get screwed on that issue. There are so many used PTs now on lots not to mention new instock.......well,it just makes thier asking price from a dealer very soft.A fully loaded 02,with average miles on it and considering 04 models are not too far off now.......you might get 15-16 grand for it.Modfications....don't expect any money return on those either.

Thanks Inferno--at 16k I go, 15 I 'think', below that no--I got a REAL good deal when I bought the Dream 1 thus I owe less then I should.....still a tough call--I know as soon as I buy a Turbo DC will go ahead and announce the 04/05 Dream Panel Cruiser...and that is just what I really really want...........

DC--you confirmed the vert more than 18 months ahead of production--why not confirm the Panel and put me out of my misery.............

In that case, why not wait? DC may come out with a panel cruiser and if you hold off for a while, you'll have more of the DC I paid off and you might be able to pick up a used DC II with low mileage.

I say wait. You've got a car you like, hold out for that panel.

Odds are very high on the 'wait' as I REALLY want a panel....just curious to see what numbers the dealer gives me...considering the deal I got when I first bought the DC 1 and I mean a real DEAL, with the 0% interest on the DC 2 it is just like switching cars with very little out of pocket and my payments won't change much -although I'll get another year of payments......(downside)
.........panel..............panel...............pa nel..................
