Default Warning for others

Hey all fellow PT owners......

To make a long story short...... I saw a post on here for a set of 17" wheels from "PT_Hot_Rod".......

I contacted him thru email.....and we agreed on a price. I paid him thru paypal......he said he would ship on May 19th. I have not received them.....and have tried to contact him via phone and email. Phone is never answered...or if it is...it is the "fax machine" sound. Emails are being returned saying there is no such address now.

Ed Johnson is his name. I was hoping it was a bit of honest problems....but seems it isn't now.

If anyone knows him.....I would appriciate it if they tell him that he is doing someone WRONG and needs to correct the problem.... (and let me know how to contact him...in a differnt form maybe??)

To the others that dont know him.....BEWARE......dont get burned like I have.

I have put in a refund request with Paypal.....and will be contacting my credit card company soon to try to get refund.

I just think it is crappy that a FELLOW pt owner would do this to someone else. I would NEVER in a million years "bone" someone like this.

Just a warning. I would hate to see anyone else get burnt by this guy. Just a $750.00 lesson for me.

Dale

Default Internet Fraud Complaint Center

There is a place to file a complaint with the FBI for internet fraud. They have set up a web page:

http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp

I currently have a complaint filed for a $413.00 ebay auction.

Good luck getting wheels or money back!

That's a good approach. At least make the cretin sweat a little, it might convince them to cough up either the product or a refund. Stay on them and at least get the satisfaction that you ruined their day at least once or twice.

Ed's last post was on May 13th, 2003 07:48 AM
Perhaps something happened to Ed since it's been a while since he posted last..

Maybe someone here knows Ed personally and could shed some light on the situation.

PTKodiak,
I hope things will work out for you.

I would contact Ebay and see what they can do.
My rating is still 100% and I plan on keeping that way !

I don't know Ed personally but have talked tyo him on phone and here. I agree with Marc ,the Ed I know wouldn't stiff you Dale ! I agree you have a valid complaint ,but I also think there's a logical explanation. Hopefully you'll hear from Ed shortly. I know he is in business for himself and attends college also. Unfortunately I have no other ways to give you access to him other than what's available here.

He lives in Georgia and is in to "extreme sports". Maybe he went a little too extreme and is out of commision

I sold my wheels and have received the check, but haven't sent them yet...just waiting for the check to clear, but I'm in communication with the buyer.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Hopefully it will work out...it doesn't seem like a guy with 1431 posts would screw another PT owner and then drop out of site, never to be heard from again.
