When would the first editions have been sold? I bought mine on the 28th of March 2000 and it does not look like the one pictured as first edition. Were the early ones that went out in rental fleets in Florida the first edition ones? Also, still love it, and no problems whatsoever.

The First Editions WOULDN'T Have been sold to Joe Public. The First Edition would have been driven around BY DC Executives Prior to DC selling the First Early Edition Cruisers. Most of them were destroyed by DC but some (maybe less than a handful) were given or sold to the "right folks" who had connections with DC...
DA's uncle for example.... ![]() What you have BobL is an Early Edition (1 of about 3700 built) and Not a First Edition like the image I posted above... PT GURU.. Good Points... I forgot about the Tail pipe on this thread , BUT I mentioned it on another thread i posted last week or 2 weeks ago on the same image Quote:

Is that you Bob?
Where have you been? Yes, I remember quite well. Wow, that is approaching on 3 years now. Have you still got that Trophy? Have you won more Trophies? Quote:

My car show career ended at 100% success. That was my first and only. It was really fun back then with the Cruiser though. You couldn't leave it parked anywhere without finding a crowd around when you came back. There were over 200 cars at that show and probably several thousand lookers. I believe over half of them had never heard of a pt cruiser and the other half had and just had to check it out. I have been to a few cruiser get togethers and local car club has an annual cruise (not really a show) which I have gotten several local cruiser owners to attend together with us a few times. It is actually almost 3.5 years of bliss now. And yes, I still have the trophy.
