I recall learning in a California High School Drivers Ed class that when you are the 1st car at a red light, you look both ways when it turns green before entering the intersection. It has saved my a$$ on several occasions. They were still teaching usefull stuff in the 50's.

Wow, glad you're ok! The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, before I had the PT, except I did not see the other car coming until it was too late and she hit me. She ran her red light by a good 3-4 seconds. I used to take off right when the light changed to green. Now I wait just a couple of seconds and make sure the "other guy " isn't gonna cream me.
