Hey all. Let's say hypothetically that you had your choice of whatever color you wanted your Cruiser to be painted (bumpers optional). I was just wondering what your dream colors for your Cruiser might be. Mine would be the following (in no particular order):
1. Candy Apple Green (highly metallic finish) 2. Baby Blue (a la older rodsters) 3. Hot pink (again a la older rodsters) 4. Deepish yellow (almost a school bus yellow, but a bit brighter) 5. Candy Apple Red (highly metallic finish) 6. Metallic Black 7. Lime Green Those are my top picks for now. What are yours? Also, would you have the bumpers painted to match the rest of the car? Post them here! Thanks. |

YELLOW. ![]() There is a PT in the South Hills of Pittsburgh that has been completely repainted a real bright yellow (like the deuce coupe in American Graffiti). It looks GREAT!!!!! It's definitely different. Which in fact PT owners should be realizing (being different) is becoming harder and harder to do!!!!!! With the growing popularity of PT owners customizing their PT's being unique in regards to "what" you chose to add to you car is becoming more of a challenge. If you're a "long-time" car freak or car show person you know that the cars that really stand out are usually the ones that have the most unique features. This is especially true with PT's being that all the mods/changes we make are using the SAME platform. Unlike street rods or muscle cars that can be of a variety of makes and models, PT owners are faced with having to make their car stand out in a crowd that is basically the same. As we enter our 2nd year (only) of PT'ing I see the competitive nature of PT customizing escalating in the coming year. Just looked what happened this past year. MANY "super fine" PT's were put together by their owners in a relatively short period of time. I'm SURE this trend will continue as time goes on!!!! We've only just begun!!!! Here in the east coast we are nearing the end of this car cruise/show season. I can hardly wait till next year to see the mods/changes/additions that will be done by many PT owners during the winter months. Now where is my sabre saw .......how much should I "chop" the top?????? and what shade of yellow >>) should I paint over my inferno red..... ha!!!!! ![]()

Ah, Step it back to the 30's and paint it a very dark brown (almost black) with a cream bottome tone. Very classy. Who knows, I may do it if I get tired of the Deep Cranberry. What am I talking about. I will never get tired of the Deep Cranberry.
