Default WANTED- PT Cruisers for an Evening Santa Parade Nov. 17

Our city (Brampton just North of Toronto) holds a "Twas the Night Before Christams" night-time Santa parade. I contacted the organizer, said that I can probably get 5-10 PTs, LIT UP, to come.

Any takers???? We can make a day of it!!

(lit up- you can either wire-up lights, to run off the lighter or battery (4 3V lights in series, several groups, or 12 1V in series, ...) OR get an inverter (12Vdc- 110Vac) and run store-boughts, OR I can tow a generator and we can all hang off that, ... )

There is a $100 entry fee- I will hit the local dealerships for sponsorship. I may have to tow a small float in return.

I know we are in the dead of heat, so think SNOW, cool off a bit....

They are setting the parade up this month and I need to committ (or be committed!!)

thanks in advance

OK, Sean, we don't mind getting committed! We'll be in good company! Sounds like a fun time, although it's a little hard to think of Santa and Christmas after living in a blast furnace this past week.

Count us in, we're game. And by the way, how was the spaghetti and fireworks yesterday? We were sad we had to miss it.

I'd be there if I could. Here's a hint for the lights. Take a standard 50 lamp string (50 lamps at 120 volts) then rewire it so you have every 5 lamps in series for 12 volt operation. Get an accessory plug at Radio Shack (fused of course) and plug it into the power outlet (one of them is even switched with the key). Works like a charm, did it last year. Ho, ho, ho...

My kids politely reminded me that there is a "PT" in BramPTon!!!

RadioA- congrats on retirement! This week right?? Hows the 1:6 paint job??

Rick- thanks for the tip- I was going to try to mass produce some inverters OR get a generator for my trailer, and have other PTs hang orr that (with coiled cables to keep them up off the ground).

Looking around for strobe sets for my PT these days! How many months till Nov?? Better hurry.
