Default What about this Subwoofer system?

I am not familiar with any Subwoofer system.
I just came across what I think is a deal.

First of all, would these fit in the rear of my Cruiser?

About the wattage..is 350 WATTS too much, not enough??
How much would I be looking at paying for something like this?

It is made by REACTOR. Has anyone heard of these guys B4?

* The Reactor RB12's Full-Range hatchback box speakers are designed as a single piece unit with two 12" woofers and two compression-loaded tweeters.
* The 12" woofers square off with a super heavyweight performance!
* The side panels are recessed for easier handling.
* It's perfect for use in the back of your SUV or hatchback.
* Features:
* 4-Layer Kapton Voice Coil Woofers
* 350Watts 12" Poly Woofers
* Dual Ported 2" x 5" Piezo Super Horn Tweeters
* Aviation Grade Carpet Covering
* Dual Ported for Greater Bass Response
* Side Terminal Clips for easy connections
* Heavy Duty Metal Grills
* Carrying Strap Handle
* Dim.35"(L)x13"(H)x8"(D-bottom)x5"(D-top)

Is $59.90 plus$25.87 shipping to Canada a good deal on this item? Brand spanking new.
Or is it just too cheap?

Sorry, Marc, the only thing I know about woofers and subwoofers is that I don't know anything about them. I'm sure someone will jump in here. I'd like to learn a bit myself.

That's a cheap price but I've never heard of those before and I know a good bit about subs. Thats also a truck style box for behind a bench seat.

Black hawk...
Have you heard of REACTOR before?
Would this system work in the Cruiser/ I know NOTHING about Electrical items.
Would I need extra parts to connect this or to make this work?
I think 35 inches would fit in the Cargo area wouldn't it?

Marc,
I know as much about speakers as you and NSCR FAN. But I do know one thing..... having the handle is nice so they can be removed anytime you want.

I picked up these at Wal-Mart last year. They were $49 each with the extra added advantage of having NEONS on them. They are rated at 600 watts.

All I know is that they sound really good and I can take them out anytime I need too. That's good enough for me.
I even have extra long cable going to them so I can lay them out along side my PT at meets if I want.

Well, I'll put it this way...I got my system set up for sound quality, not volume, and my subs have a 600W amp (or so the amp says). The guys who go for volume at the shop were getting much larger amps.

So...350 wouldn't be a lot. But then again, without meaning to sound insulting or anything...the deal described just sounds cheap. Not cheap as in price but potentially in make...

Marc, do you realize there is no amp in this setup? You will need to add that also. The rating on the subs is probably peak handling. As for the "REACTOR" brand, the best I can offer is that they are "affordable". This same box is on eBay for $89.99.

I also would add that this is really not a subwoofer...it is a truck box as someone has already indicated. It has 12" WOOFERS and piezo TWEETERS. Without the freq specs, I doubt it is capable of producing deep bass like a sub does, especially considering the size of the enclosure.

To use this system, you will need to add an amp with line level inputs, and connect them as a replacement for the rear speakers....

Give it some real thought, but I don't think this will do what you want.

My humble $0.28 US
